Dhoni and Toss

Just a simple observation......
If Recent results in Sri Lanka and T20 games in New Zealand are anything to go by. It clearly shows Indian team fortune's dependency on Dhoni winning the toss.
In Sri Lanka india won first 4 ODI and in all those matches dhoni won the toss. But in the last one he lost it and so did India.
Here in New Zealand, india lost both tosses and lost the games as well.

If You see the track record of Indian team under dhoni's captaincy and checkout the matches that india won or lost then most of them are the ones in which dhoni won the toss.

What i could conclude from this is that when india is playing in alien conditions then they have a game plan which is too much dependent on toss(implying "the better playing conditions").So if india wins toss then things are according to their plan but otherwise it's up to to opposition to force their decision and exploit the conditions and it is then that indian team's morale goes down.

Any Comments !!!!

Recent Hollywood movies I liked

It had been quite long time since i did watch a hollywood movie(no movie after hellboy 2, Quantum of Solace and transporter 3,not considering Slumdog Millionaire which is more of a bollywood movie). And from last 2-3 months i have been watching only bollywood movies(almost all) so this week i decided to watch some.

I had heard about "Seven Pounds" a lot and will smith didn't disappoint again. Great movie i must say......not as good as "Pursuit of happiness" but still watchable.

Then after Oscar i decided to watch "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button", "The Reader" and "Milk".

I started with "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" and I seriously think that it deserved Oscar more than SM(which i think got Oscar because of it's feel good factor which Americans need most at present). The most striking thing about this movie was it's plot totally different(a baby born as a 80-90 year old and grows younger with age, who could have thought of that). It reminded me of another hollywood movie which i saw almost one year back (don't remember the name). Storyline of which was also totally different in which the hero didn't age and has been of same age since ages.

I haven't seen other Oscar nominated movies yet....after watching those my point of view may again change......

But one good thing that has happened this year at Oscars is that the movie which got Oscar this year was understandable unlike last year. "No Country For Old Men" was totally beyond my comprehension level.....

Moral Policing

These thoughts have been hovering in my mind from almost 1 month.....
Neither do i drink nor do i celebrate Valentine day(without a GF of course you can't) but still i am totally opposed to this so called "Moral Policing". I would give following reasons for my disapproval

1)If you go to a police station and check the record books then i am confident that you will find that in 75% cases(don't believe me then file a RTI) the culprit is either a politician or someone who is somehow related to a politician(family member's[sons and daughters] in most of cases.

2)In India we have freedom of speech, action as long as our freedom doesn't interfere with others freedom. From that perspective how does a man or woman drinking in a pub or a couple hanging out interfering with others freedom.( At least it is beyond comprehension of my poor and weak mind to vindicate this).

3)Last but not the least who has given these so called "Protector of Indian Culture"(goons by action) right to act on others behalf(and spread violence). Go and educate your own son, daughter and spouse.

Story of My Life

sorry but after writing 2-3 paragraphs i realized that i can't write it......it's really difficult(try for yourself if don't believe me).........
